Getting started
What is Hooman on Demand?
A locally owned and operated dog walking and pet sitting service in Raleigh, NC. You book and track every visit in our app.
How do I sign up?
Fill out the new client form. We email you a link to activate your account, then you download the Hooman on Demand app and request your free meet & greet and your first visits.
Why do I need a meet & greet?
It's a chance for you, your walker and your pet to meet, go over routines and home access, and ask questions. It's free.
What are your hours?
Visits are available Sunday through Saturday, 7 AM to 9 PM.

We serve Raleigh and surrounding areas. See our service areas page and confirm your address on the sign-up form.
Pricing & booking
How much does a dog walker cost in Raleigh with Hooman on Demand?
A 15-minute drop-in is $24, a 20-minute walk $27, a 30-minute walk $31 and a 60-minute walk $45. Each additional pet is $4. See the pricing page for details.
How much is pet sitting?
In-home pet sitting is $93 per day and includes three 30-minute visits. Each additional pet is $4.
Do extra pets cost more?
Yes, $4 per additional pet.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are charged a $10 fee.
When will my walker arrive?
When you book, you choose a 2-hour arrival window. If you pick 7–9 AM, the visit begins any time between 7 and 9 AM.
Can I book recurring walks?
Yes. You can set recurring visits right in the app, whether you need a daily midday walk or a few visits a week.
Trust & safety
Are your walkers background checked?
Yes. Every walker and sitter is interviewed and passes a third-party background check before they are hired, and every walker must also be a pet owner.
How do you get into my home?
We work with whatever is easiest for you: a lockbox, a keyless entry code, or apartment access through your leasing office. We also follow your alarm system instructions.
What happens in an emergency?
We keep your vet's information on file. If something happens, we contact you and take your pet to their vet.
How will I know the visit happened?
Your walker checks in through the app with GPS, you get notified when the visit starts and ends, and you receive photos plus a visit report card covering potty breaks, food, water and notes.
Services
Do you offer overnight stays?
No. Instead we offer in-home pet sitting visits built around your pet's normal schedule, so they can stay home in their own routine.
What pets do you care for?
Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, ferrets, chickens, ducks and reptiles. Have something else? Ask us and we will do our best to match you with an experienced sitter.
Do you offer off-leash walks?
No. For safety, all walks are on leash. We are happy to play off leash in your fenced yard, and we only use an apartment dog park when no other dogs are inside.
Will my dog be walked with other people's dogs?
No. We never do pack walks with dogs from other households, and we avoid interactions with other dogs and animals during visits.
